EYEBROWS

Eyebrows are trending. By far, eyebrows are the single most popular procedure we offer at Faces Artistry. Sometimes men and women may have areas that are missing hair in the brow line which may be the result of heredity, plucking, scars or the surgical excision of skin cancer in the brow area. For whatever reason, we know that the brows place an important role in framing the face and expression. Each individual has a unique shape and color that best suits their face. The task of creating eyebrows every day may be challenging to anyone, let alone persons who have limited motor skills due to age or medical conditions. It is particularly challenging when we consider that the face is not perfectly symmetrical. This is why the procedure is so popular. We offer eyebrow shading as well as fine line hair strokes, similar to micro-blading or 3D microblading.
This procedure generally involves two applications.

EYELINER

Eyelashes are what give depth, dimension and focus to our eyes. The color and depth of your eyes, large or small may be enhanced to give your eyes their best presentation. Many women prefer a more dramatic look and this may be achieved by a thicker or darker line. However, there are many women and men who simply desire to create the appearance of fuller lashes. This is best achieved by implanting pigment in between existing lashes, along the lash line. For the lower lid it is possible to achieve a very natural look by implanting the pigment in a way that produces a dotty appearance rather than the solid lines we associate with a more conventional application. The loss of lashes naturally occur with age or may be the result of alopecia, the removal of cancerous lesions or surgical excisions around the eyelids. For whatever reason, there are options to create the illusion of eyelashes and improve your appearance.

LIP LINER

It is important to consider the concept of lip liner as a means of producing color to the edge of the lip much like the concept of blush when we apply color to the cheek. In a neutral or vivid shade, and applied in this blended style we may produce a result that is pleasing and desirable for women who have pale lips or desire a hint of color on the edge of the lip. Another approach may fulfill the problem of faded vermillion in areas that may become evident as we age. When using a neutral shade in a tone to match, we may provide a bridge or camouflage, if you will, in order to repair the appearance of an uneven or patchy lip line. This may be the result also the result of surgical excisions, after an accident, or areas of hypo pigmentation or scars left after skin cancer removal. This procedure generally involves two applications.

FULL LIP COLOR

In this case we are applying color to the edge of the lip and to the interior of the lip. This may be the best choice for women who have pale lips. Both the procedures of lip liner and full lip color may provide symmetry to otherwise uneven lip shapes, both large and small. Unlike conventional cosmetics, the tattooed color is placed under the skin, therefore, you may use other cosmetic lip colors over the tattooed color. It is best to consider a permanent color that is neutral and complimentary to your skin tone if you do not usually wear lipstick. With permanent lip color you do not have the problem of conventional lipsticks that bleed or smear. The application of a clear or tinted lip gloss is then a snap, considering you won’t really need a mirror to apply! This procedure generally involves three applications of color in order to achieve the best results.

CAMOUFLAGE | POST SURGERY SCARS | HYPO PIGMENTATION | INJURIES

Flat and white scars are considered best for the process of re coloring to match the surrounding skin tone. These types of scars are generally associated with the removal of skin cancers, other benign removals, accidents, burns, or flat surgical scars such as facelift scars. These procedures generally involve multiple applications for best results. Estimates given at consultation.

AREOLA | NIPPLE | BILATERAL | UNILATERAL

Today the process of breast reconstruction after a mastectomy has provided the option of creating a surgical nipple that may often need coloration that can be tattooed on to create a more realistic look. With or without a surgical nipple, it is possible to tattoo a 3D areola and nipple as needed. This is a great way to get confidence back post mastectomy. The process of tattooing is often covered by health insurance if performed by (or in) the plastic surgeon’s office. Cases may be referred to my office by physicians to perform the procedure in their office. If not, please contact you healthcare provider if you have any questions. These procedures are generally handled on a reimbursement basis to the patient with an authorization from the healthcare provider.

CORRECTION OF COSMETIC TATTOOS

We specialize in the redesigning and correcting of permanent cosmetic procedures. This may involve changing an undesirable color tone, by a combination of neutralizing, lightening or darkening of the original cosmetic tattoo. Unflattering, uneven shapes may be improved by expanding the design, however some designs require removal. These procedures generally require multiple sessions averaging 3 and in some cases up to 6 sessions.

REMOVAL OF COSMETIC TATTOOS

Removing a tattoo requires time, patience and client aftercare. A saline method or other removal product may be used to lighten areas of unwanted pigment in conjunction with design or color correction. For large areas we may recommend you consult with a Dermatologist who specializes in laser or other removal. Many cosmetic colors as associated with Eyebrows involve many colors which may not be removed entirely by laser, and is why in some cases, this type of removal or lightening may be an option. These procedures generally require multiple sessions averaging 3 and in some cases up to 6 sessions.
